I started out by attempting to go to my favorite new store in Oakland, called Urban Indigo but unfortunately they are NOT open on Monday :(
I ate at one of my favorite mexican food joints, Tuca
baya on 4th street (Dona Tomas' sister taqueria). This is the delicious veggie tamale. Yummm-meeeee!! I'm sure some of the guests thought it was strange that I was photographing my meal.I popped into Moe's on Telegraph in Berkeley to pick up a book
published in the 70's on the Mummies of Guanajuato
(not exactly what I had in mind but good research for my book.
