Photo LA

The work of Jeff Charbonneau & Eliza French in the Robert Berman Gallery drew me in to take a closer look. I was intrigued by the luminosity of the prints. They look like they are 3 dimensional. I thought maybe they were layered or something but I was told it was the way the were printed and the special non-glare glass (I can't remember what it was called at the moment). As I was admiring their technique and mentioning how the work reminded me of of Robert Parke Harrison's earlier work, I noticed a little brochure sitting on the table by Gerald Slota and immediately I asked if they had one that I could take with me. Soon I found out that Gerald was in the vicinity and if I wanted to meet him, they'd give him a call.

I had a lovely chat with Gerald and he signed & sketched my brochure and we exchanged cards. I was thrilled to find out that he now has a website.
