This is the virgin statue that I bought for $20 last weekend at the Alameda antique market from the French woman in the first row. She wanted $28 and I thought that was a bit steep (she is quite chipped and her hands are missing as are her feet). I went back when she was packing up and offered $20.
This image was taken on Saturday morning on my rooftop. The pebbles on the roof echo the muted colors of her finish. I will be photographing her a lot and will post more versions. I have a really wonderful polaroid from the studio today that I need to scan and will post once I get it scanned.
