Julia Nelson-Gal (Photo sculptures)

I love her work. Its very inspiring. I first saw a piece at First Friday in San Jose at the Quilting museum with Sylvia & Rich a month or so ago.

This is the piece that was hanging but had already sold...

Open Studio, October 25th & 26th, 2008

I'll be in my studio on Saturday & Sunday, October 25th & 26th from 11am -6pm.

Come and check out the wet plates that I've been making.

Hope to see you there!

Tiny tears from Madrid, NM

One of the many doll heads that I resisted purchasing at a very cute gallery/shop in Madrid called Rock paper gallery. I spent a lot of time in the gallery photographing.

Dirty Doll Head

This little gem was tossed in a case in the funky store Half to Have It in Half Moon Bay. I think she will be a good candidate for a wet plate image. She's not too interesting as a color photo.

Heart Shaped Nose Cavity

This frightening looking little skull was in the room across from Michael's studio space at Djerassi. All kinds of things to look at in that room.

Djerassi Observations

Looking through the window of the old barn where there was pages and pages of writing pinned to the interior wall. The wire covering the window created really interesting shapes and the colors of the out of focus backgrounds were beautiful through the cameras lens.
